VR FOR DEMENTIA
BACKGROUND
Our objective to to use Virtual Reality (VR) for dementia by creating their past memories. This is the idea we pitched in the 2018 Startup Weekend Singapore Hackathon, sponsored by Govtech.
We are venturing into new territories, no one has done this idea before.
I went to find clues, what is the most cherished memory ?
I connected with FengShan Grassroots groups / Khoo Tech Puat Hospital/ Saint Andrews Nursing Home, Ren Ci nursing home to speak with experts, caretakers, nurses and doctors and most importantly Persons with Dementia (PWD)

They spoke very vividly about their memories as a child in their kampungs and shophouses. You could see them reminiscing with great emotion, I felt that this was the right direction to go towards. I built a similar environment below
